Quatre joueurs de l'édition actuelle du Canadien figurent parmi les neuf meilleures acquisitions depuis 20 ans

Depuis 2002, un grand total de 100 joueurs acquis via transaction par l'organisation montréalaise ont enfilé l'uniforme du Canadien pour au moins un match. Quand on regarde la totalité des statistiques, il est très impressionnant de voir qu'il y a 4 joueurs de l'édition actuelle du Tricolore qui figurent parmi les neuf meilleurs pointeurs. Même si Shea Weber semble désormais destiné à la retraite, il est toujours un membre du Canadien au moment d'écrire ces lignes. 

Au sommet des pointeurs, vous avez un choix de 1e ronde en 2007 qui avait été acquis des Sharks de San Jose le 25 février 2007 dans la transaction impliquant Craig Rivet. Vous le savez déjà, ce choix est devenu Max Pacioretty. Puis, on retrouve ensuite Alex Kovalev qui demeure encore aujourd'hui un des joueurs favoris de nombreux partisans montréalais.

Il y a ensuite un certain Jeff Petry qui arrive au 3e rang. Si jamais vous avez lu trop vite, je vais prendre le temps de vous le répéter : le défenseur Jeff Petry arrive au 3e rang des meilleurs pointeurs des joueurs et choix acquis via transactions! Phillip Danault est au 4e rang et Jonathan Drouin arrive après au 5e rang. Pas si mal pour un joueur qui, selon certain, est une ''mauvaise'' acquisition. Trois rangs plus loin, il y a Shea Weber et au 9e rang, Nick Suzuki. D'ici peu, il est certain que le nom de Suzuki sera beaucoup plus haut.
