Nous aurons droit à une grosse annonce des Golden Knights de Vegas dans les prochaines semaines, c'est le propriétaire de l'équipe lui-même qui le dit.

Dans une entrevue avec le journaliste Jesse Granger de The Athletic, le proprio des Knights, Bill Foley, a fait une intéressante confidence.

Son équipe, qui amorcera sa troisième saison seulement de son histoire dans la LNH, aura dès l'an prochain un troisième chandail, un peu comme la majorité des équipes de la ligue.

On ignore pour l'instant de quoi aura l'air ce troisième chandail puisque Foley n'a pas voulu dévoiler d'indices, mais il espère pouvoir le présenter aux partisans en début octobre, juste à temps pour le début de la saison. Selon lui, ce nouveau chandail sera encore plus beau que les deux chandails réguliers de l'équipe.

Selon la rumeur qui circule, il s'agirait d'un chandail de couleur or.

Si l'on se fie au designe des deux chandails de l'équipe jusqu'à présent, on peut donc s'attendre à un superbe résultat pour celui à venir aussi.

"With the draft, free agency and the Nikita Gusev saga behind the Golden Knights, one of the biggest questions remaining before the team finally hits the ice in September is what color the jerseys will be. The Golden Knights will obviously keep their white road jerseys and steel gray home sweaters, but what about the long-rumored third jerseys?

Owner Bill Foley offered some information regarding the alternate sweaters, and it’s great news for fans.

“It should be here before the season starts,” Foley told The Athletic. “I’m hoping it’s in early October.”

That’s a bit of a surprise, as the timeline appeared to be heading in the opposite direction when Foley last spoke about the jerseys. On April 25 he said, “We’re working hard on it and we’re trying to get it done. We’re trying to get the color just right. We don’t want it to be off.”

While Foley won’t spill the beans on the official color of the third jerseys, they are expected to be gold. It’s not an easy color to cover an entire jersey with, but Foley believes the team and Adidas found the right formula.

“It was the shade of the color that was holding things up, but we’re in good shape now,” Foley said on a phone call last Wednesday. “We’ve signed off on the design and we’re trying to get them made. It’s completely designed and done.”

Foley said he hopes the jerseys are available for fans to purchase before the regular season begins. Vegas opens the season at home, hosting the San Jose Sharks on Oct. 2.

“It’s going to change the look in our arena a little bit,” Foley said. “When people wear this new jersey, it’s going to brighten up the arena, versus the steel gray jersey.”
