[pub]

"Sad news in the hockey world as former @NHL referee & officiating manager Mick McGeough is on life support after suffering a stroke. A GoFundMe page has been set up for his family in Regina,SK."

"Many who have the love of hockey will recognize the name Mick McGeough.  The fun-loving, great storyteller, retired NHL referee from Regina, SK.

This past Sunday morning Mick went into the hospital with the early signs of a stroke.  He went in fighting, just like the Mick we all know and love.  The past 4 days have been a roller coaster while his family has waited for tests, and updates, all while Mick's condition has decreased.

Mick is currently on his way to Saskatoon to meet with a neurosurgeon who will assess him for the option to remove the remaining clots that are at the back of his brain.

Many of you have reached out asking how to help. Mick's family is preparing for the unknown medical expenses, and what the next steps will involve after his assessment.

Now is the time Mick's family needs support.  Please keep Mick in your thoughts and prayers, and donate if you are able to.

Thank You from the bottom of our hearts.

Update: It is with sad hearts that we are letting you know that Mick will not be recovering, the damage is irreversible. He has been brought back to Regina to be with his family at this time. Life support will be removed and he will go on his terms. Thank you so much for your generous support. "
